History
Adhesion Technologies Limited was founded in 2013, but our history with fixings and in the composites sector goes back over 45 years. At this time we were developing and manufacturing composite products for British Leyland, GKN, the UK MOD and numerous other international organisations throughout Europe, USA and the far east. From early on the company specialised in advanced composite solutions and fixings technologies for vehicle armour systems and early UAV structures amongst other products. We are therefore at heart a composites fixings company that has experienced many of the challenges our own customers face.
Eight years ago work began on designing a revolutionary fixing solution that allows manufacturers to completely re-think how they design products and enables them to use materials that were previously limiting to work with.
Our original goal was a new solution for composites, but we soon expanded our vision to engineer a universal system also effective on a variety of materials such as metals, woods, plastics, concrete.
The result is Spida.
CULTURE
Pioneering Technology
R&D is central to everything we do. Spida Fixings is the result of several years of design and engineering R&D. We identified a need in the fixings market to innovate and provide customers with new, better solutions. Though important, the bathtub curve is only one tool used. Our products have been through many iterations of CAD design, FEA analysis, in-house testing, 3rd party testing, and product integration so that we know we are selling you the best possible solution.
Lead not follow
Although we listen to our customers and their requirements we pride ourselves on encouraging progress. Our products are not simple replacements of their predecessors, they can be transformational to the design of our customers products. This means we help customers discover new ways to make products using our novel technologies that puts us and them ahead of the game.

Collaboration is a key element of our success. We have developed our products with some of the leading metal, thermoplastic and thermoset suppliers in the world. They all have substantial global and technical experience which has gone a long way to make our solutions brilliant.
